anybody ordered from benz-parts.co.jp before?

Recommended Posts

Was trying to look for wide-view side mirrors for my W221 (really small) but could not find any on ebay.

Used to buy these mirrors for my alfa's from Japan (those from AROC should know as I've done several GB) so I thought I'd search some japanese sites and came across this..... apparently have many things for mercedes cars.

anybody ordered from them before? I'd most likely be ordering the wide-view mirrors from them. or any alternatives?

if you need to translate, let me know.

I'm not organizing a GB, neither am I making money out of this.

they carry all brands of aftermarkets and also some customized parts (e.g. the wide-view mirrors)

Thanks for link, always like Japanese for their accessories, superb!

So far, only ordered a few from this list of online accessories, from Kepiting

Agree, the merc sidemirror view is limited, even the facelift version, especially when parking/reversing.

Personally, prefer to get the blue mirror type with inner LED signal.  Have ordered from this sri ardin before, quite cheap too.

This site has w221, but not the facelift.

But cant seem to find wide view mirror - it's actually a stick on, over the entire mirror, and gives a much wider view. Really useful.

Waiting for their reply. Else will just give them a call this weekend.

Anyway I have given them a call. There are a lot of extra charges for shipping overseas.

Have ordered a pair of the wide-view side mirrors (with water adhesion properties) and see how much the extra costs are.

  • 3 weeks later...

had been driving for a couple of days with the wide angled mirrors and they work like a charm. I can see a MUCH greater area now; even the blind spots.

At just $400 or so - best value for money mod for me.

How's your ride so far? :)

well.....comfy, but a tad underpowered - or probably the way I drive. Most S classes I see are S350.

someone claimed to be able to go 1000km on a tank; I could only manage max 700km (est.) or about 11.8L/100km (about 8.5km/L). on SPC95.

biggest gripe was the tiny wing mirrors - but that's sorted out now. Loving the wide angled mirrors. Can see almost 2 lanes to my flanks each.

Else....... nothing much to mod - save money. so that's a good thing.

passengers love it for the massive legrooms and tow-kay feel. I only feel like a chauffeur.

had problems with parking initially - the car is too darn long. but gotten used to it already. front radars helps loads.
