Hi Guys,

 

I'm newbie to Merc. Can I check something, just collected the car 2 days ago. Got it from PI car. Just to check regards to the 7G Speed. I assumed that there's 7 gears basically.

 

Mine has the E and S mode. There's a manual shift as well. My question is, I tried the manual shift, does it goes like this?

 

Each shift up will change the numeric up.

 

D - D1 - D2 - D3 - D4 - D5 - D6 - D (Back to D)

 

I checked in the youtube for a C180 CGI, it shows all the speed in a row 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 instead and shifting up will have a box boxing over the gear number.

 

Is this suppose to be correct?

Have been wondring about this actually... So its not possible to manually shift up to 7th gear since it only goes up to D6?

From D to D1,2,3,4,5,6.

 

There's no D7. If you tap right after D6, it becomes back to D again with no numeric which is auto.

As long as with D is in auto mode, ie D3 means it will no go beyond third gear.

To get full manual it should go to "m" mode which is lacking in w204 basic model.

When u shift up to D from D6, watch the rpm aginst the speed you are doing, and you know if it is on 7th gear.

roll off from gear 2 la.... u  never count wrong. unless u shift dwn to 1 if nt. stock by default it moves off from 2. even in s mode.

D is 7th gear. Its goes from 1to 6 to D, and when u down shift from D, it goes back to 6.

u try liao then u let mi knw... if nt maybe u can ask sg merc conduct lesson on gear changing.. lastly u can go ask ur SA if u still have doubts...

Push the stick to the left and hold it there, it'll downshift to the gear lowest possible to allow you to be in the powerband to pass cars. And pushing the stick to the right side and hold it there will put you back into the normal automatic shifting mode.

Ok ok.... Then u take it as there isn't a gear 7, go back cnc make noise... I believe they will have the ans to all ur questions...
