screeching sound

Hi GUys, just change my rims to 19''AMG to my C200. there are screeching or rattling sound when i do a full lock or when i reverse. there is a 100mm spacer in the rims. i went to the workshop, they told me its the timing belt. any advise from the seniors?? pls help.. thank you many many..

Personally I would avoid spacers. But some swear by it. Your mileage may vary.

 

Actually using 19" AMG rims should fit your ride nicely without the need for spacers. What are the specs of your rims?

100mm spacer is alot.

1. the offset of the rims are wrongly specced to your ride, or

2. it was done intentionally to change the 'look' of your wheels & fender profile.

There are alot of W204 bros here on 19" without spacer

BTw what is ur mileage??? and your spacer...... WOW... 100mm is really alot..... ever wonder if the screeching sound comes from that??? for wear and tear will sometimes cause the spacers to deform... especially for such a long spacer....
