Been researching on which 18" tyre to upgrade at a reasonable price. Think & think until blurrr liao... ??? Almost decided on F1s but then Sport Maxx highly rated also.

Considering Eagle F1 or Dunlop Sport Maxx or Goodyear Revspec2. What do you all advise?

Tks a million.

I guess it depends on wat you want .. eg. comfort or performance ? Chances are they dun come hand-in-hand. Perhaps the closest to this is the Michellin PS2 but they cost quite a bit. Not sure if the new CSC3 is on par with this ?

I think Vblaster is on Dunlop Sports Maxx and has a good review and I know the guys at Volvo Forum raved about German F1.

I had Hankook K104 245-40-18 before ... I have no complains too.

I am using the Thai-made Goodyear F1-GSD3. Find them too noisy for my liking. Can't wait to get rid of them, but they are cheap. Performance wise no complaints. I am going to try Preceda2 the next time.

I think u aint gonna get any better recommendations than anywhere else... :o

Unless we get to test all on the same car at one go..

I am using German F1, much much better than Preceda (not ver 2) & stk Continentals in terms of noise, grip & wet grip. Driving down AYE passed Jurong, audio off & using a speaker phone, no one can tell I am actually on the road.

These were the tyres I had used in that order.

no-no for revspec2

poor grip esp on wet roads

am using them now

sidewall seems a bit soft.

at18's the profile will be 40-ish so sidewall strength impt.
