Insurance for new Mercedes from C&C

I just bought a c180 ... Sa told me its a must to get from chartis from c n c i was quoted 3200+ ....

Is it really compulsory to get insurance from cnc chartis ?

It was not compulsory when I bought my ride from C&C.

my sa told me die die 1st year must take chartis insurance with cnc. then when i ask her whether my c180 can add on nav again my sa say cannot must special indent. then again i choose red color my sa say only comes with paranomic roof must topup the roof $. after reading the treads here i find a bit fishy with my sa words. haiz i already give 21000 as deposits. before give deposit sa say confirm will give car b4 cyn after deposit 1 wk later tell me might not get b4 cny.

How come your deposit is so much? Your choice?

As with any purchase contract once you have signed on the dotted line there will be little leeway for negotiation. You are not the first and I dare say won't be the last person to come into this forum to tell your sad tale. To anybody else contemplating buying a car I can only say please do all your research and ask any questions before you sign. Sign only if all your doubts have been cleared and you are sure it is what you want.

 

Having said that if however you felt that your SA has misrepresented anything to you - say about insurance or delivery date then by all means go and do some table banging - it is your right to do so.

hmmm was told coe bidding deposit 10k car deposir another 10700 so total 21k.

if really can have nav then i gonna try ask my sa for it. wat i was being told by sa is cannpt thats y sa offer me a portable garmin gps with recorder function.

Before we get carried away with SA bashing, some features of the car are definitely factory options and pre-configured by see&see when they ordered any batches. Whether our expectations are met, is really about what information we acquired before we signed on the dotted line.

Nav & pano roof done deal but you should still be able to check your t&c if in-house insurance is mandatory.

ya maybe i will call in customer service hotline n check. i dun mind paying 3200+ for 1st time but i dun like someone to lie to me esp i buy in cnc not those 2nd hand ah beng car dealer. i might be late to make changes but at least i wan to find out the truth n lodge complain against the sa.

ordered back in October... was told that insurance is up to me to get from whoever I want.. just that they will say recommended u take up their chartis la.. maybe the terms has changed? do check.. and if your SE is lying, it really reflects v badly on CnC.. if i were u and i found out SE lying, I sure bang big table :X

I didn't take up insurance from Chartis altho it was recommended by SA.
