bro mike, yup my box is sealed. box spec I can't really remember but looks to be around 1 - 1.2 cu ft. Every sub has a recommended enclosure size in the instruction manual.

Hi Morganoh,

Thanks for your interest. The Butler TDB series operates differently from the original tube driver series. The tubes are driven at less than 5% of their maximum rating and thus are not stressed like in a typical tube amplifier. Under normal use, they should not need replacement.

The older Butler Tube Driver (non blue series) tubes run hot so they do need replacing every now and then.

A pair of 6SL7GT tubes shouldn't costs less than S$100 depending on what mfr grade they are.

and a new butler 475 is around $1300-1400 and includes installation, tunning and cables.

if bring in a used butler amp for dimension audio to install with cables + tunning, will cost me around $350-400.

so by buying a used one at $850 + $400(self pay for installation) = $1250, I only save max $150.

So inorder to save some money

I will either just install a Focal 165vr speaker (replace original speaker) without amp, and wait for a later date than consider a new amp.
