I have a stock pre-facelift SLK200 (R171) and am looking to modify the engine and/or outlook. What would you recommend?

That depends on your available budget, but I suggest you come down to our meetups to check out all the slks there to give you an idea of what you can do to your car. I'd say MOD EXHAUST FIRST! Nothing like hearing your exhaust roar every time you step on the gas :thumbsup:
