C-Coupe Powered Seat Failure

Here's a sharing & info-gathering post to all C-Coupe owners.

Just encountered the above-mentioned failure last evening while positioning the front passenger seat forward to allow for pax ingress ie. no auto forward movement of the front passenger seat. Tried using the door-mounted controls to move the seat in any direction but to no avail, memory buttons didn't work as well. Basically the front passenger seat was dead.

Tried restarting the car in the hope of resetting any electronics but that didn't resolve the issue either.

Drove down to C&C Alexandra this morning to have it checked out. SA handling my case suggested a quick diagnosis of the onboard systems and everything checked out fine. Seat regained power and full control movements. Final diagnosis of the issue is that the powered seat module might have gone into "sleep-mode". SA said that this is the very first case for the C-Coupe, prob. due to the 'new-ness' of the model. This issue however has surfaced on the E-Coupe. Currently no further intervention/ investigation needed as it will be very invasive to strip down the seat assembly to locate any possible faults. Accepted the suggestion to monitor the situation and will take further action if required.

Unfortunately with the fully automated seat installed in the C-Coupe, there is no manual override function that will enable manual operation of the seat. Which means if the seat is dead and there's a rear pax, alternative egress means will be needed via the other door. Worst case scenario will be for both seats to go dead, rear pax had better be flexible enough to climb forward to exit.

Anyway good compliments to the way C&C and my SA who handled my case. Prompt & practical service rendered with no need for time-wasting, hassle-filled procedures of leaving the car at the workshop for an entire day just have it looked at. Arrived at venue at 8:30am, left at 10:00am (tire rotation service done as well).

Has any C-coupe owners encountered this failure before?
