Legroom of w204 and w211

Hi bro,

I am considering between the 2 models above and would like to go for w204 due to budgeting. However I am concern about the rear legroom and space as I will need to put child seat (maxi cosi) type. I would like to know if w204 is good enough. There is no other passenger behind most of the time.

Which will you choose between 2008 c180k with 60k milage and 2007 e200k of the same milage?

Thank you

Even the coupe c180 has enough legroom

So w204 should be good enough

Agree, but if TS is really concerned, why not drop by the showroom and try it our yourself? If might me sufficient for one but cramp for another.

HI.. i just did some simple calculation... and seems buying a used or new car will end with you paying almost the same every month... ever consider buying a new one???? just my 2 cents worth...

u also calculated the depreciation and the loan period?

i would have settled my loan next year if i didn't change my car. now with the new car, while the monthly payment is similar, the loan is extended by a few more years..

I know what u mean... but seems TS is buying a car... not changing.. and he did commented that he has a budget... so the car he has in mind and a brand new one's repayment amount is almost similar... I mean if you are comfy to pay that amount... why not plonk it into a new one? Totally new and no warranty and other issues... just my 2c worth... may not work to others...

hmm why u concern about legroom if the intention is for the child seat and no other passengers?

w024 is def enough space for that.

I have concern that my son will not be able to stretch his leg fully without kicking the front passenger seat.

I am changing my car from Honda stream to either of the mentioned.

Thanks for all the inputs.

For me, as long as you take a loan, doesnt really matter as long as i'm comfy with instalment amount. Aren't we all renting a car? Ten years later still gotto return! And most will change before reaching end of warranty period...so interests does not play a big part...but if you are throwing 50% or more...then it is another ball game. thats me only ya

You're dethpicable.

Oh, think i OT liao. For TS's concern, no worry cos your son will kick your seat sooner or later, cos kids grow fast!

This I agree.. dunno what kids nowadays feed on... my girl's P4 seniors are almost as tall as me....

hahaha...giants! Actually, this is something we can't avoid. Due to the depth difference of booster seat and car seat, kid's legs are being push upwards. My girl (8 yr old) will automatically ask me to push the front passenger seat forward (driving a scirocco now). 2 solutions though....buy a bigger vehicle Merc Vito, or use this command...

'CAN YOU STOP KICKING MY SEAT!" To stop it from happening again, raise your voice a few notch higher. =p

Actually I often use the COMMAND... and was also contemplating to buy e VITO.. but CFO hates it... say might as well stick to Citroen.. then we went to look at the RX270... end up with this car...

  • 1 month later...

Will be going down to showroom to do a full test an should conclude by next week. Thanks for all the inputs

My daughter sits in a car seat behind me (driver side) and yes, it's quite tight, I can't recline my seat too much and for sure, she will kick it once in a while. She's moving on to a booster seat soon, so it will be slightly more spacious for her then.
