Can't watch DVD on the move on the W221....HELP!!!

HI, just wondering if anyone has got around to removing this safety function on the S-Class so that DVD movies can be watched while the car is in motion. I do know that in Europe, it can be decoded but is there anywhere in Singapore that I can get this done? ANyone, someone...please advise...thanks

Hi Bro kamitom,

first of all, congrats on your first posting.

Unfortunately, no one has replied to you yet maybe because they might have missed out on your qns.

Anyway, my dad is also driving the W221 and he is also pissed off about not being able to watch a DVD whilst on the move.

A friend of mine in phillipine actually managed to get the mercedes dealer to take the function out but i'm pretty sure C&C will not do that.

Maybe you can ask some of the workshops that SgMerc members are very close to if they could do this service?

Maybe you would like to check it out with MBM whether they can do it for you.

It probably could be done by going into the program diagnostics to "disable" this function.
