spare key

Hi, i just bought a w204 frm a dealer. As promise they will make me a new spare key. Is it true that it take 6week to indent? n the car was not sent in to the manufacture. Don"t know if the dealer r lying or not? Cause in the 1st place they lie to me that the spare key @ headoffice. After that say with ex owner cause consignment. Any bro / sis can help to clear the doubt.

Believed by now, you have taken possession of your W204. You may go C&C to register yourself as the new owner with the LTA document/ ID for proof. Please inform the SC whilst you are at C&C that the ex-owner had lost the spare remote and you need to purchase a new one. He or she will provide you a quote for the new remote and the service to deactivate the lost key fob.

I had the same experience when I took possession of my W219 last year. The cost is S$8XX.XX and this took about 4 weeks to arrive. The price is model dependant.

You have to discuss the above with your dealer and ensure that they agree to pay upon presentation of the receipt from C&C. The best is get them to commit in writing if this folk cannot be trusted.

Mine is a imported unit. They just say collect 6 week upon confirmation. Never ask me to drive in or register anything

Your dealer can just order the key with CnC, do the full payment. CnC will contact you once the key is ready. Mine also came with 1 key, my dealer ordered the key with CnC, 4 weeks later CnC called me to go down to collect the key. You can call CnC to check if they have place the order.

yes, only c&c or other authorised merc dealers around the world.

I bought a '09 C200 last week from a dealer that came with 2 keys. There should be 2 keys with delivery, correct?

I think they surpose to give 2key. But sometime ex owner only 1. I call up the dealer just now to ask for the contact where they.fabricate the key so that i can follow up myself. they ask me no to worry. Lol . How to not worry where 1key cost 800
