Has any bros here installed their in-car video by auto spritz with their own brand of camera? ( can't remember the brand ah boon mentioned thou). Any positive or negative feedback is welcome. Have been thinking about it for a while but has yet to come to any conclusion. Hence gathering from advise from bros here. Thanks.

I got my BlackVue from a group buy in the forum. Had it installed by Ah Boon. All my other electronics are also installed by him, integrated GPS, paddle shift steering wheel, etc. DVR installation takes 30mins and just tap the power supply. What's there to think? Extremely small operation compared to anything else.

So far, no issues with Power Magic. It still feeds power to the BlackVue so it can continue operating in "Parking Mode" when the engine is turned off. In Parking Mode, BlackVue doesn't record unless it senses motion in front of the camera. The Power Magic module monitors the battery level of the car and if it falls below a certain level, it'll stop feeding power to the BlackVue.

I was using the BlackVue DR400 but it had over heating issues, videos became very milky. Had a 1 to 1 swap with the supplier to the newer DR380. No issues so far and works like it should. The DR380 would be my recommendation.

I think all the info you need is in the second post of this thread.

Get this from Anthony - Intergimzo - Tell him Mr. seah from Pasir Ris to give you a good price.

Hp: 8296 7898

He has been giving me good support and I too supporting him by giving him feedbacks on the Blackvue DR400HD

IMHO The DR400HD is "FULL HD" and it does run hot - and best not to run Parking Mode especially when the car parked under hot sunny day.

It will kill the small internal Li Polymer battery in the DVR

I am running 2 DR400HD = 1 front andf 1 rear and I've kept them alive for almost a year now without PowerMagic and no Parking recording.

I've been looking in the car DVR market for quite "some years" before I finally decided on the Blackvue DR400HD.

No regrets till today!

DR380HD

  • Resolution : HD (1280×720) @30fps

DR400HD

  • Resolution : Full HD (1920×1080) @30fps

So, damage I am looking at is around $350 to $380 if inclusive of the power pack.

Thanks a million. Will drop by his shop tomorrow if time permit. :)

Ps: do they do installation or I need to bring to AS?
