W204 Pre FL Headlight

Just bought a 2010 W204 pre facelift. It has the common problem of headlights going cloudy/ yellowish.

Call up a few headlight polisher and they said that it is the inner lens that has gone cloudy. Quote for polish is between $300 to $480. (Remove headlamp, remove the lens and polish on both side)

 

Also called up a few stockist to check on brand new head lamp price, Original is at about $500 and OEM at about $200. (Per piece)

 

Last option is to go for aftermarket headlight with DRL, found a source in JB call Eagle Eyes. Looks good. Price at $858/- and $80 for install. (SGD)

 

Which option will you choose?

Also wanna check, anyone used OEM one before? How is the fit and look like? I am towards replacing with OEM if feedback from here is positive.

i went for the oem(hella if i rem correctly) when i needed to replace my headlights, been working 4 years, no issue. Such a waste it is going to eol in 4 months.

Is there any issue of the lens becoming cloudy in this 4 years? 

Wanna sell the lamp in 4 months time?

no issue so far. Frankly, it still look rather new.

Don't think it will be worth the labour to sell my headlight. .

Hi Bro, which part of JB sell the DRL?

u can replace the yellow lights with HID. Including foglights. Cost no more than $500. I did mine this way.

Keep the original bulbs so tat u can change it back before vehicle inspection.
