New C180 (W205) soft humming sound?

Recommended Posts

Firstly, thank you SgMerc for this forum. Glad to be a member!

I just got my C180 from C&C and was wondering if any of you have this soft humming sound when the car is at low speeds? I have this coming from the engine (I think). Very obvious as I do not on the radio loud and when stopping, I still hear it when the car stops until the engine auto cut when waiting too long at traffic lights.

Is this normal?

Try off the Aircon?

Mine is the low fan speed with the low humming sound.

  • 2 weeks later...

Had a spare car for a week. Got my car back today.

No more humming sound. Wipers no more juddering (they polished the windscreen). Changed my front and back solar films as there are very obvious bubbles.

Will need to ask what was done in regards to the humming sound next week as the main technician was away for training.
