Fire Risk for mostly E350, I hear E-Class and CLS also affect, so may want to check with Mercedes.

Apparently all the E-Classes and maybe CLS are affected. Doing ours today, and Mercedes is very low key on this.

They says will need an hour or more to fix, not a simple 10minutes job!

So better get yours check today. Friend's Merc also arranged next week to fix.

Cheers!

Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz recalled more than 147,000 midsize sedans and station wagons after authorities alerted that a rubber seal on models made between 2013 and 2015 could fall into the exhaust system and cause an engine fire.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration put out the alert on the recall, Reuters reported.

Among the recalls are CLS-class sedan models and the E-class sedan and wagon. Mercedes announced the repairs will begin in mid-March.

Just a few days ago, the car maker recalled another 149,000 of CLS-class and E-class vehicles in Europe and China for similar reasons.

Just a quick note, please get the advisor to go thru the repairs with you.

Check the seals and also there will be works done on the firewall as well.
