A stupid Warranty Qn.. Spring, Absorber...

Recommended Posts

Hi bros,

Haha, this question is kind of noob...

I know changing the springs voids the warranty for the absorber.

However, i still want to check if anyone actually managed to have See & See replaced an absorber for free even after changing spring.... :)

I doubt so. It would alrdy shorten lifespan of e stock absorber Liao by using lowering spring. These springs easy to tell they are not stock.

Change back to stock springs before sending in.

However, do note that they are quite camera friendly.

If u need to change, replace both absorber n springs.

curious.. would anyone know how much would it cost for a set of stock shocks vs a set of entry-level after-market one (not talking about coilovers) for a c-class?

would it be better off to use after-market if it can last much longer than the stock one, for those whose car is already out of warranty

A set of shocks and springs would cost you about close to 1.6 - 2... i think..

If i were you and comfort is a concern, I would go for the AMG sport package suspension ... i think can get from stockist. but not sure how much..
