E280 7G Tronics problem

I just bot a E280 2007 with pretty low mileage, 23kkm actually. Day 1 when I collect the car ESP warning light lit, went for a sensor change FOC. Now entering 3rd week of ownership I got new problem, after some acceleration then back to cruise speed, the gearbox doesn't shift to higher gear, like 2600rpm for 70km/hr. Stop the car off ignition n start again everything back to normal, happen 3 times le, called the salesman he said I accidentally touched the speed limiter lever, I know I din.

I read many story on 7G Tronics GB, changing of valve body etc etc,on foreign forum, seems not many here, can anyone enlighten me ?

Hi! I have this problem before. It is the gear box controller spolit. So the damage is about $4k.

You better repair it fast before your whole gearbox jam. This is a common fault for 7G tronic.

I'm contemplating an e280 also 2007 model with 40k km on the odo, is the 7Gtronic known to be problematic?

Thanks for sharing, I bot the car from the R company wif one yr warranty just hope they dun tell me it's wear n tear item, shud b safe. I'll update here, if u buy a car with such gearbox without warranty, quite risky in my opinion.
