I found this pic online of an E cab/ coupe. Seems like a good idea and probably LTA legal too. Downside is it will still sound the same.

Ingenious solution, wonder if LTA would approve it.

oops, looks like i was wrong. saw another post from kepiting1sg over on another thread. looks like it is indeed legal to change your exhaust tips, but only AFTER the muffler box.

Wow, cool man! That means to say if anything after the muffler is legal, maybe i branch out THREE exhaust tips (LEFT, RIGHT & CENTER) also can loh.

Mmm...

Bro E-cab,

heres the latest from see&see, they have clarified once again that they discourage any form of modification be it for aesthetic or enhancement purposes.

They further elaborated that mod Vs warranty will be dealt with on a case to case basis. Simply put it, its as per what you've said, when problem comes and a claim has been raised, then they assess.

They did mentioned that warranty void is not part specifc as well, thus, in their perspective as a service provider, it does not mean that you mod exhaust, only the exhaust warranty will be voided.

Hope this shed some light.

As for legality issues, dummy tip is not a problem at all.

Cheers

Skunky

Bro E-cab,

some updates. I've just done my servicing with C&C. The mechanics discovered my dummy exhaust tips, nothing was said. I enquired about it, they say as far as they are concerned, it is not a problem with regards to warranty. Walk away a happy man. For those who are interested, you may want to go ahead with it, dun bother writing in to C&C cos they will say no to almost anything.

Regards

Skunky
