Can anyone enlighten me about servicing cost at 15K,30K,45K.

SE told me that in every servicing there are two jobs: Lubricant and Maintenance Service, where lubricant service is necessary and maintenance is optional, is that correct? I thought it suppose always together (lubricant change and do all checking).

Thanks.

Go to the service center & ask for the pricelist for these servicing. They hv it in details information on difference mileages servicing package & charges. Every servicing would likely covers oil or lubricant changing etc & as for the maintenance checks is parts of the servicing. These maintenance checks is FOC but not for the replacement of parts which is chargeable. For example a simple job like top up wiper fluids will cost $10++ with GST.

Well i think is not too bad for this kinda pricing. My previous kimich charges like $300 to $600 for servicing at 1000km, 5000km, 10000km. If u sum it up for 15,000 km u are paying like $1300 plus or so. Mercs is first servicing is 15,000km cost u about $400 then i thought is consider a good deal. To my surprise, my landy first servicing is 25,000km & damage is like $700++.

30k is asking for a $1000 & my buddy went in recently for 60k is around $2000 with service credits no so much pain lah.

U can go outside workshop cost like $200++ as long as u hv no concern of voiding the warranty. The recent green issue on the other thread is scarly though!!

I have learnt much from this forum and have apply it and it works. So its time I share my experience.

1) There are Assy A and B servicing. 15K is Assy A service and price about $420 to $480. 30K is Assy B service and price about $600

Why no Fix Price for 15k or 30K? Because CnC may add in thing like Fuel additives etc so hence no fix price.

In order to have a Fix Price from CnC and not just leave it them, here what i did for my 2 cars.

At First Service 15K, i write a NOTE and pass it to SE stating very clearly that I want a Lub service only. Oil and filter. Price $420

(First car kenna $480 as i didnt pass them the NOTE)

At Second service 30K, i also wrote a NOTE stating clearly i want ASSY A service and not Assy B service. If anything beyond Oil and filter, they should call me first before proceeding. Price same at $420

At Third service 45K, i did same a above. $420.

I keep all above record so there is no issue on Warranty as I have service deligently at CnC. I did above for two cars with no issue.

Cars still under warranty and ending late this year.

Clear Vision bro is absolutely right. As I have learn from my 15k and 30k servicing (AssyA and AssyB), the only difference between the both is that at 30k, they will get you to bleed and drain away the brake fluid and also change cabin filter. It seems like the damage here for these 2 servicing schedule set you back around S$400-S$600.

The "MAJOR" costs should come for the 60k servicing, Assy B+. In here, they will drain/bleed/change:

- steering fluid;

- ATF fluid (I remembered this is the most expensive of all);

- brake fluid (cos this is every 30k)

- cabin filter

Has anyone gone through the 60k or Assy B+ servicing already? How much does it cost?

I know that it is possible to "request" for only Assy A services at the 30k and 60k servicing schedule. This should get your booklet "chopped". But then, you will need to find another reliable workshop to carry out the rest of the recommended fluid change liao, which, will be much cheaper.

there r many rumors on how to beat the warrrenty issue. but i need to ask my SE for confirmation. i was told that there r ppl who do EO change, filter change at outside workshop but go back to C&C just for their computer analysis check up.

from here, i come to know we have members who bring their own oil n filter n ask C&C to change during servicing.

i planning to change that cabin filter at 15k instead if there is one installed inside my car. till today i still have not check whether there is one installed on my ride or not. maybe the next GTG will ask the senior here for help to confirm.

anyone try changing the oils n filters at outside workshop, then go back to C&C for computer analysis? do C&C still accept the warrenty?

For my last 2 Merc, and I am likely to do the same for my current 3rd one, I have been doing the 15k service for the 30k maintenance. For ATF oil and brake pad, I had went to outside workshop for the service and only went CnC for 15k service.

Fortunately, my last 2 cars have been problem free, so there is no warranty claim to talk about for the engine and transmission.

The only warranty claim is the break down triangle that broke after some period of slamming the boot.

30k service is usually additional visual inspection which can skip. What you need to follow is the ATF oil service at about 65k km.

Where do you go to get your ATF and brake pads changed?

I also know that in Assy B, part of the program is to check engine mounting, gasket mounting, blah blah blah. Are these really warranted to be done for a car like Merc and especially when most of us don't wack the car on the roads in this country? Sometimes, I think the additional checks are redundunt if you have been showing TLC to your ride.

My car is at 48k now and I got to change my brake pad and the C&C also advise me to change the brake disc as he claimed it is worn out too. Will there be any warranty issue if I changed it outside like to Starblack or any other workshop other brothers can recommend? I still have 10 more months of warranty left. Thanks.

Maybe' date=' we can ask ourselves this question. Is the warranty that critical? How many of us have actuallyclaimed warranty and which part?[/quote']

If warranty is not an issue, PI is the way to go & u wont lose sleep after u down payment with them. As for warranty claims, i did a claim on air con malfunction with agent.

No issue! CnC brake pad change is "expensive". Outside like Starblack will be cheaper.

CnC will not have clue that your brake pad was not change by them.

I guess most of us change our brake pads outside CnC

I just changed both my front brake pads & rotor discs. I bought the original parts for $325 at a reputable Mercedes stockist & paid $52 for labour charge at a workshop in Tampines. Total less then $400. C&C quoted me $900. I've asked C & C about warranty issues & they said it doesn't affect warranty.
