Replacing LCD screen on the W204 ('07-'11)

Was wondering if anyone has any opinion on replacing the little screen with a HD one or know of anyone in Sg that sells them.

The standard 5" screen is quite limited, and as the 08-09 are now running out on warranty, I'm thinking might be worth a change. New screens get close to 7" and have options to hook up your reverse camera/DVD player/GPS.

U can changed to a higher resolution 7" LCD screen, hook on a reverse camera/dvd player/Garmin gps/dig tv, etc,

Unker Batam, you know whats the rough price for the upgraded screen? Thinking of hooking up reverse cam and upgrade screen size

I just checked with AutoSpritze and their estimate to change the screen & install a reverse cam would cost around $1K.

As for ordering in the screen alone from China (from eglober) would cost USD350 incl shipping, however we would have to pay for installation and the reverse cam separately.

Anyone interested in a group buy or group install at AutoSpritze?

I'm pretty sure it would, however, I believe the installation is fairly simple, it's just swapping the plugs from the old to the new screen. Meaning that if in any case u need to send the car in, u can always swap it back. Have a look at the attached instructions.

My C200 warranty ends this month, that's why I'm considering it. Sure beats the price of upgrading to COMMAND.

Hahaha! I didn't wait!

I threw out the Audio 20 when my ride was less than 1 week old & replaced it with COMAND & reverse cam.

Scare dun mod! Mod dun scare!....kekeke!
