Can COMAND display today's date ?

Have been trying to get my Comand (NTG3.5) to display dates without success. I find it to be useful when tearing coupon !!

But is it even possible ? Manual is silent on this.

Update...

After fiddling with COMAND the last few days, am pretty certain it cannot be done.

Only way we can chk the date is to go into Time Setting mode and click on date as if we are setting the date for COMAND for the very first time. Seems kind of strange to have to set the date on COMAND but no way to retrieve it other than going into Time Setting again.
