Windscreen Replacement

Just had my windscreen replaced today...

Would like to share my experience...for the benefit of those who may fortunately or unfortunately encounter some UFO landing on your windscreen... usually it will not shattered coz our windscreen has 2 layers :bounce:

...fortunate becoz you can get a brand new windscreen...unfortunate becoz you have to leave your car at C&C Pandan Loop for 2 ~ 3 days :tsk:

For those insured under Chartis thru C&C...good for you coz you only need to pay $107 (incl GST) and if your Sales Agreement showed that it comes with Huper Optik...you get new solar film FOC as well :becky:

Best of all...there is no limit on how many times you can claim (your windscreen)...it will be reinstated as long as you pay $107 and most importantly >>> your NCD will not be affected

Some additional info...the Service Adviser told me that they handle up to 40 ~ 50 cases per mth

And for those who are not covered by insurance...it will cost you well over $2000 :hand:

Good luck...coz you never know when the UFO may strike

Yr insurance covers ALL windows. Those stone chip aka UFO can be hit u from

all direction. Avoid those places with of gravels as much as possible.

I just went thru the Motor Policy Endorsement...under Point No. 89...it covers ANY broken glass in the windscreen or in the windows...

AMK Ave 5 has no construction site nearby and there isn't any truck in front of me leh...it can happen anywhere and anytime...:tsk:

Bro 雷公,

your wipers also judder with the old orangina windscreen ah??

your new screen will let us know more whether its

the wipers or

the windscreen or

the motor

that contributes to the long time mystery of juddering.

Maybe time for us with juddering wipers to change windscreen together with u!!

I was told by the broker for insurance policies that for windshield replacement, for ncd not affected, insurance companies will play around your annual premium payment.

It do happen to one of my friends but his car was a Honda that time.
