I just modded my DRL this morning to dim and stay on when the head lights are on. Very impressed and super satisfied by the look of it now.

Hi all,

Just want to update that the auto dimmer function can only be modded for the FL W204 (with E Class DRL). Those owners of pre-FL W204 that had changed the DRL (S Class DRL) will not be able to do so. This is according to the workshop.

This mods is for those without ILS feature. Once the headlight is switch on the DRL will maintain ON too. I read somewhere that no module is needed to activate this features only using software. Can anyone confirm on this one?

When I was doing mine, they only added a long thin wire from the DRL to under the steering console. No additional module or software added, just hard wiring. Job took less than an hour to complete.

Still the same $180 when I did mine. No idea if there's any increase now.
