Problems after filming

Has any1 else encountered problems after installing solar film? Or is it see luck one? Have installed for a couple of weeks but problems seem remain.. :(

Right after installing, my radio seems to have intermittent reception problems..

After a week or so, the car remote start to have intermittent problems too.. Sometimes cannot lock or unlock the car! Sucks.. Happens to both keys so should be something wrong with the car..

Also noticed that the lcd for the reverse sensor indicator doesnt display correctly.. For example 0 is not displayed as a full 0.. Theres some breaks in between.. This 1 most merc have so shldnt be just 1 car right? Maybe old car waterproofing not that good anymore?

Did a search on the internet and noticed some people on benzworld having the same problem. Reason being water goes into and damage the antenna amplifier during installation.. After digging further, some1 here also encountered this problem 4-5yrs ago.. http://www.sgmerc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5162

Guess this will the first and last time installing solar film.. Blame it on luck...

Mine work so far so good. And I use the solar film provided by Mercedes Benz. Was told cost over 1k for the solar film

Yes! Huber Optic has only 1 grade of solar film & it's >$1K.

I had a small problem with top grade V-Cool in my previous ride.

The ceramic base film is good but it weakens the GPS signal reception.

Think TS Bro Zack might be a different problem.

It's a known fact that some inexperience workers would splash lots of water during installation of solar film & at times water seepage sometime damaged things in a ride.

Best to get the ride back to CnC to check!

seems like most people wont encounter problems after installing solar film.. only a minority like 1%?

but then, guess i wont be trying solar film again as i dont feel comfortable with the water going into the car even though there wont be problems..

unless, installers come up with a new device to suck away the water when installing.. like nowadays dentist have that thing to suck away ur saliva.. maybe someone can invent something similar to suck away the water too?

backside itchy again.. is it possible to diy install solar film on the roof of the car so that it looks like pano roof? black sticker absorb heat right, duno if solar film will make the car cooler instead.. hahaha

Question

1) did u installed any film on this car previously?

2) is the antennae wiring on the rear windscreen or at the front?

3) yr radio reception are distorted continously or intermediates? This happens after installation the film?
