Thanks, bro.

I'll contact him for the price. Hope he has DR400HD. Looks good.

Thanks again.

Got it from this PI from VAGSG GB.

His name is Anthony 8296 7898.

Will still be cheaper than AD!

Or go look up in VAGSG Forum under

GB folder. Think all of them getting from him.

This happened to my colleague today, just this afternoon.

A Lexus, driven by an old man, reversed into my colleague's car in broad daylight. When confronted, the old man claimed it was the latter who banged his rear. My friend was like WTF. The old man still got the cheek to say, if my friend want to claim against him, talk to his company.

I don't have the full details. But I got a feeling my friend's case against the Lexus owner is very weak.

This incident is another reminder that we should install an in-car recorder ASAP. MTL!!!

Sounds quite familiar to me on this .. old man reverse bang into the car front and insist that you bang him( for me was he roll down carpark slope at RTC and bang into my front bumper at least 6 years ago) and then the old man thing and the case is weak symptom and then if you want to claim talk to his company or his finanicial assistant .... wah lau seems so the SAME thing. My conclusion .. old man is really too old cannot tell from reality or hallunication (too old liao , keep thinking people try to snook him). In the end I call his company finanicial assistant ( old man really rich siah) and his guys say would settle for me and also on the sideline say he is too old and weak liao sometime imagining things or forgetfull........ so in the end I get $250 from him via cheque and bumper just slight scratch only... KNN, careful dealing with old man mann.....

If budget allows, fix one at the rear too. Although many think the one hitting other's backside is automatically at fault, they can twist their story and say you reversed into him. His liability could be reduced. With the rear cam, I don't think he wants to twist his story that much.

I removed the Power Magic and configured my set to start with the ignition key switched on. Set was running too hot for my liking and I thought the frequent rebooting was caused by too hot a card. Very stupid of me, because my set was bought from authorised distributor here and if it's not working they should solve the problem for me. But very troublesome to drive there.

Another headache is when crossing Customs at Woodlands and Tuas. Have to remember to unplug the set because according to the rules, you are not supposed to record anything there.

this is also BV400?

Yes, DR400. Same model as Unker's.

latest pricing from Anthony, again based on single order

Front + Rear + PowerMagic = $580 (bundle price)

I have yet to get clarifications on whether the rear is DR350 or DR300 though ...

Let me know if you're keen .. i think i will go for the front and rear bundle.

Will place order with him on Monday!!

The bundle price is not attractive.

Foon Audio advertised on mycarforum, selling each unit at $250.

Power Magic retails at $30.

So, $250x2 + $30 = $530

If the bundle price includes installation, then the price is attractive.

Thanks.

This is what Anthony quoted:

DR400 + DR350 + Power Magic = $580

DR 350 + DR350 + Power Magic = $390

Since I only need it for event recording, DR400's extra features like GPS coordinates are not needed. Guess I'll go for the second combo.

I'm still waiting for my other friends to confirm. So I won't tag you for the GB.

You can try Foon Audio or Darren Auto. Some bros here have used their services and were happy with their workmanship.

Bro,

DR400 is HD version. Believe me, you will want the HD version. If I had to choose between only one DR400 for the front or two DR350 for the same money, I'd go for DR400 in front and forgo the back camera.

The worst thing to feel is regret.... cry also no tears oh.

To add insult to injury, sometimes the driver who reverse into you will file a claim against you!

Happened to my colleague before. He was kind enough to let the matter rest when his car was bumped by a reversing BMW in the carpark. KNN, the BMW driver filed a claim against him instead.

Thanks, bro. Your post prompted me to check the specs of each model in detail. Realised the video resolution between the two is world apart.
