Another reason why we should have in-car recorder

This happened to my colleague today, just this afternoon.

A Lexus, driven by an old man, reversed into my colleague's car in broad daylight. When confronted, the old man claimed it was the latter who banged his rear. My friend was like WTF. The old man still got the cheek to say, if my friend want to claim against him, talk to his company.

I don't have the full details. But I got a feeling my friend's case against the Lexus owner is very weak.

This incident is another reminder that we should install an in-car recorder ASAP. MTL!!!

Bought them in an early GB at VAGSG forum - No regrets!

$350 for Blackvue DR400HD per pc

$30 for PowerMagic

$100 for installation at Foon Audio

Bro Lightning bought one himself and he too likes it very much!

The recorded picture quality is very good!

Won't it run out of disk space or it only records when there is motion in front?

Cheers!

It comes with a 16Gb Class 6 microSD card and the clips can be set in 1,2 or 3 mins setting. When run the microSD card on the PC, the clips run smoothly & continously & can display routes on a map with gps co-ordinates.

In Full HD (1920x1080) @30fps, that will give 5 hours of recording.

Once it's full it will rewrite over the old clips.

The setting depending on picture quality can be up to >18 hours on the lowest quality recording

I am going to put in a 32Gb and that should easily give me 10 hours of full HD (1920x1080) @30fps recording.

I read that this BV400 runs hot, very hot till cannot touch. Is this a concern for fire?

Some people kpkb abt the thing runs "hot" - so far no one has his car burnt or the microSD card conked becos of the heat or the double sided tape which hold the DVR to the windscreen drop off!

For me I am not bothered cos the thing runs well, nothing look or smell unusual or burn my fingers touching it.

8 mths ago likely to be the DV300 or DV350.

I know the "mkt rate" is about $30/pc.

They had to run the power cables from front to back for the rear DVR - that took some work & time and it's a MB......chin chye lah!....kekekeke!....btw they did an excellent job in installing and setting up the angle of the DVR. :hand:

Had another near miss recently when the driver in front of me displayed poor clutch control. Maybe it's time to get tougher on the Class 3 (non-A) test.

After the first clip ended, the vehicle in front rolled back one more time.... It's a new vehicle, so the clutch should still be good.

I only have one concern. My company does not allow vehicles with DVR to enter the premise.

So if I install one , I need to play hide n seek with the gate guards.

Or I change jobs. Any bro got job recommendation

Hmm... any bro got lobang for a group buy?

Got it from this PI from VAGSG GB.

His name is Anthony 8296 7898.

Will still be cheaper than AD!

Or go look up in VAGSG Forum under

GB folder. Think all of them getting from him.
