It happened twice to my ride (W204 C180K) last year.

At first cant crank start, surprised! So double check whether in P position, aircon & all switches off than 2nd cracked ok. Initially tot its e key batt weak so brought along my spare key n it happened once w this spare key too mths later.

Drive dwn to C&C to hve it diagnose (under engine pb category). SE informed me after tat he's changed both key batts n updated my ECU. Cost S$240++ incl gst. :becky:

Car is fine thus far!

$240++!!!!

The updating of the ECU must be costly cos 2 Lithium Coin batteries (CR2032) will cost less than the price of 1 coconut. :pound:

See n see is always scary unless one is $ no object type in which case don't even need to discuss anything here.

I just replaced the 2 Panasonic made in Indonesia CR2025 cells in my wife's B180 remote with Maxell made in Japan ones and they cost me a grand pauper's total of $3 aka 1 bowl mee pok.

Honestly, if its only $240++ i still ok...So long they dont throw me an atomic bomb!!!!!

I confirm 'flipped'~

Right now stupid CnC tow car in to pandan side early in the morning...waited whole day no one called. Ard 4plus i called them...then they say they just received....wth.....then told me cant give me answer today...only tmr then will let me know what happen and repair cost....

I just pray my steering lock or ignition start dont 'kaput' i very happy liao....i confirm go tua pek kong and give thanks!

hahaha~

hais...pray for me man....

I talk to MBM, and was impressed by one of the guy dont mention name just in case he get fired. He told me best send to CnC cos mine is not PI car...CnC will get it done much faster and if really steering lock problem, they can ident in faster and charge me cheaper rather then going thru MBM who in the end still have to take the parts from CnC...Then have to charge me higher...

Good job~

As for some bros ask me why never send to Starblack let them try...I guess, it still boils down to the same thing...hais...

No car is damme bad for me man...Im a realtor, i need my car!!! argH!

Hopes everthing will turn up fine. So how they manage to tow yr car away since u cant engage to N? Whoever workshop u choose is yr choice yr car, no worries what other ppl think. In fact Pandan SE told me many TWM car which they cant repair eventually send back to Pandan for repairs during their heyday.

waa. i've been missing from this forum for awhile. My 08' w204 c200 just came out from almost 2-weeks in the workshop.. same symptoms. No cranking, car cant start, display says 'Restraint System' Malfunction. Towed to a benz specialist, managed to get it started but meter and headlights all not functioning... finally sent to C&C. ESP ECU spoil, short-circuit the rest of the electronics.. all go haywire. damage was RM7.2k.

Thts the interesting part. One bro in this forum said to read the manuel.. I found out that you can remove the leather covering the gear stick. Just a tilt to the left and lift up~ Then u see a yellow colored plastic button. Push that and u can move the stick to N.

Amazing. hahaha~

So glad gotten my car now.

Just realised another problem...bloody hell...

My rear brake lamps have signs of rust for the connector plates to the bulbs...

i wonder what can be done. Can solder the rust away? will it be too hot and melt the solder away also?

CnC usual answer is just say change the whole connector board....dammit....
