Hi guys

I would like to purchase the chrome tip from C & C.

My SE quoted me $300 for that.

Like to ask if the price is too high?

What's the different if I get a cheaper and not original kind?

Hope to hear from you guys!

Thanks!

Welcome. $300 is ex, is it includes installation? If yes, shld be about there for this price. U can get is from Sonic with a wording AMG but cutting and welding job is needed. Not too sure aftermarket pce quality, as long as its wont get rust faster than you blink should be ok. Coz a tailpipe does nothing only aesthetic pleasure :)

Yup. I got mine from Sonic with the AMG wording. Plus installation, it's much cheaper than the price quoted by C&C. Final product looks awesome, so much better than the ugly stock pipes!

Sorry, this is like noob question but FL W204 is coming with single pipe or twin pipe that can be fit with this SS tip from Sonic? My car comes with twin pipe exhaust tip all the way to muffler.

C180 comes with twin pipe. You need to cut off an existing bit of the stock pipe, wield a "Y" pipe, before attaching the AMG chrome tip at the end.

Just saw this on sales at c&c pandan. If I recall clearly, it's only $167.

I was there on Friday - the C180 tail chrome pipe for w204, c204 was in the display case priced at $178. With installation and GST I was told it would be a tad over $300.

If it is S$300, I would pay for it to be done at C&C. I did mine with one of the site sponsor and I was disappointed for the followings reasons :

i) Slight scatches to the bumper after they install the tip.

ii) They installed the tip way too far out the first time and the car look damn beng.

iii) They have to re-do the welding again.

iv) I was told that it is a 1 hour job and at the end I waited 4.5 hours for the job to be done.

v) Cost is not much lower than the cost to get it done at See abd See

(S$300)

I did mine with C&C cost over $300. The workmanship is good but to be honest, kind of regretted it. I still prefer twin pipe. You can import brabus chrome twin pipe and have someone here to weld it for you. Its a lot cheaper!

I also prefer my twin pipes. I always believe 2 rods are better than 1 :biggrin1:

Anyway, for mine, I got my groomer to hand polish it well till it looks like chrome. Its quite nice actually :becky:
