C180K Run in

Hello, I believe this is probably a common question but can't search it.

Just purchased a c180k, is there still a need for run in?

Tried googling but all give different suggestions, first 1000K, don't go beyond 100km/h, etc. Any suggestions? :)

Congrats on your purchase!

There's a nice and comprehensive manual that came with the your ride. In it you will find the recommendations for driving the car during the 1st 1500km. It basically says to vary driving speeds but don't whack hard.

BTW if you spend some time reading that book you will find that it will do one of 2 things for you - give you very good tips on nice little useful functions that came with the car OR cure your insomnia if any!

Have fun!

Hi nala,

Congrats and welcome onboard.......

safer to run in before you do 7000rpm daily....

try not to rev above 4000rpm, keep speedo at 100km is still fine...

run in till 1500km is cool too...

cheers

Was told by my SE MB no need to run in as it is already been ran in. Don't know how true.... In fact, was told that most continental car are usually ran in aredi!

IMHO - Bro ACSLK is correct

imho

I believe this is in your owner manual!

U want to believe the owner manual or the SE! :becky:

Our ride is different from a Ferrari or a Lambo when after factory assembled, they bring them out for a "drive"

I believe they do rev up the engine during the car assembly but in short burst and not for long.
