Hi bros,

How much will I get back / sell for my new ride c class w204 FL @ 6 mths / 1 year old? Hmm... Provided COE does not drop much :) My COE @ $50k

Typically what's the lowest depreciation @ 6 mths / 1 yr?

Any good strategy to share w regards to changing cars :) love my ride but finding abit too small for my family w kid accessories (bikes etc) le

Simple guide line - to dealer is about less 20k to 30k, based on yr buy price, say next year COE shoot up to $150,000!! Dealer also based on yr buy price not new car selling price for buying over yr car. Then again is demand & supply theory applies.

During 2009, my agent is so hungry will take in my car & clear the bank outstanding loan of $56k whereas car dealer take in my car at scrap (e) value of $25k.

Anyway, my pantry auntie say 1st quarter 2012 COE will drops!!

I normally use the guide line of 1st three years 10K each year for new car.

But it all depends on the COE and demand for that make. I sold my Feb 2010 odc which I bought for 109 at 110k just 6 months ago where COE was at 50K+. BTW this is to a dealer. They then remarket it for 134K... not sure how much it was sold in the end. Some dealer even offer me 99K nia..

my odc COE then was at 23K.. OMV 34K.

maybe time has changed...previously when i trade-in my 5mths old W204 for my current W212, the deal was very good leh...probably you need to factor in the high overtrade price :becky:

Agree with you. I itchy backside ask C&C to quote a trade-in price for my 1 yr old C180k. Depreciate 20K ! Although you get some discounts and overtrade. Like what Bro Blackmerc say, depreciation is off your buy price, not current market value.

Could it be that your car is a Peugeot and not a Mercedes Benz? Hence C&C decided to give you a low trade-in price as you are not a loyal C&C customer??

CnC took my 3 mths old Audi A4 the same price I paid to Premium Automobile!

+ $3000 service credits + Huber Optic + 3M carpets

Good deal! By why change so fast? Was eyeing A4 also previously..

Really, the dry clutch ? It's just seems like a lot of metal for about the same price as the C180k. Not sure about the drive. Thought their reliability should have improved.

VW and MB are totally different league. VW is nowhere considered as a luxury make. Some Singaporeans like to see VW as a premium make. But it's like Toyota of the Europe really. Not worth to get VW in Singapore given how it's priced.

Just my 0.0000002 cents.

imho

A4 good handling and performance!

Lack the space & comfort I required.

Doesn't have the presence of the Merc.

Just lack the "refinement" with the Merc

I made too many rash decisions!

It really depend on COE next year if really going sky high then secondhand car will fetch very good price.

I don't lose single cents on my B170 when I trade it to C180K, literally I drive almost 3 years depreciation free. If I calculate trade in price plus overtrade then I made few grands.
