anyone of you belongs to the Jan/Feb 2012 batch? pls fall in here and let's inform each other if u got news of your car reaching Singapore

I am anxiously hoping to get my new car before CNY so would hope for any form of update.

I have book c180k last week and have successful got my coe today. My se say my delivery probably will be in early feb for jan/feb batch. Hope my new ride can deliver before my current car road tax expired in 24 jan. Will keep my finger cross.

Same situation as me.... My road tax expire next Tuesday 27/12 and luckily collecting this Saturday 24/12.

I nearly booked one last weekend too and was told delivery will be in Feb 2012. They do not have any display unit in their showroom but I saw many lined up on Second floor...wait for delivery perhaps.

all the new cars ready for delivery are park at level 3. My se bring me there to choose the car colour.

Oic, those on second floor do not have any number plates on. Btw, did you find sufficient power for this car? I am driving a 1.8L currently and I find the c180k a little underpowered.

my only "complain" for c180k is the 5speed transmission and slight noisey compare to

c180 1.8. my current car is 2.4L, the c180k got about the same power as my current car. I did consider the 1.8 version but its about 16k more than c180k with only extra 7G transmission & memory seats, no parktronics and the delivery is on mar/apr shippment.

today got a shock from my car c180k. whole day didnt on engine. just now on engine with door open from standing outside. the engine roar like a lion. even the uncle at the other side also look up.

was told it is normal as car didnt start engine since last night till this evening.

Kind of agreed with dcks on the noise. The engine also sounded like it's struggling at 4k RPM and beyond when pushed during the test drive.

Went MBC to sign more paperwork and pay the downpayment and insurance, heard that new batch of cars just landed and will be delivered next week.

Just for info for those who have yet to sign insurance. Cartis Insurance has that age limit policy so that the premium will go lower if drivers' age gets older. I chose to have drivers above 35 and this will lower the premium by about 10%.
