As long as the taxi uncle sign the black n white agreement within 24 hours, u r covered. Make sure inside the agreement, both of you agree on the settlement amount for the car damage n the health shock fee.

With this black & white agreement, the taxi uncle can't play foul because u can sue him In court. But when u win, whether he has the money to pay for your lawyer fee n the civil damages is another story.

Once u report to insurance company, claim or not, next year premium sure increase. Happen to a friend of mine. Insurance company say to hedge against same claim that can still be made within the next 5 yrs. don't know whether kena smoked or not.

So did u makes any report for this pte settlement?

Nope. Both agreed not to make report to insurance. Signed the pte settlement form upon compensation. The taxi uncle seems like a nice guy and matter was settled amicably. Hope that's the end of story :)

Always treat all taxi drivers cunning in an accident to protect yourself.

Always take pictures without moving cars, include car position and lane markings.

My wife's car got hit in front by a lane changing taxi last year and taxi driver's report was my wife changed lane and hit him. His insurance claimed against my wife but was challenged by a set of pictures taken at the accident scene.

With the pictures, taxi insurance admitted taxis fault and eventually paid up.

So, take pictures without moving car first when u get into accident.
