Hi!

My W203 has this problem of unstable idling RPM ( ie. the RPM goes up & down, sometimes 700, sometime 500 ). There is one incident when i stop at a red light, the engine flame off. Got to re-start the engine. Anyone come across this problem? Please advice.

Thks!

Is better than u send in yr car earlier for servicing. These issues comes from spark plug, filter etc. After servicing, yr car shld able to "breathe" normal meaning ilding is much stable. If not is time to look at yr engine system for any chokes!! I might be wrong :)!

Come back here after yr finding ya.

Good luck

Yo tommy bro, yr pb may cme fm many reasons:

1) Wrong Engine Oil grade [nt certified by Merc-benz] - Unlikely

2) Spark Plugs wear n tear [nt firing correct or faulty]

3) MAF faulty or dirts trapped [ Air & fuel Ratio sensor]

4) Engine management wiring [Oni if yr ride ECU was tempered meang Modded] - if pre owned, possi chance it may!

5) Wrong engine petrol grade [pumped below std requirement or petrol contains water droplets etc...]

Best solution: drive dwn to Si&Si or yr prefer workshop w support equipments to hve it diagnose. :becky:

Had similar problem with my other C200.

Replaced the Mass Airflow sensor and the car Flys.

Got the Boss of MB Auto - Mr.Colin to fix the problem for me.

Need the Diagnostic Analyzer to pin point your car problem.

Don't mess around with workshop that does not have proper electronic

gadgets to test your car.You might end up spending unecessary money.

All the best.

Hi Bros!

Thks for all the advice! will go for my servicing on this sat. My mechanic also told me the possible prob is due to the mass airflow sensor. Anw, will post result after servicing.

clear the dust at the throttle body. the dust there can cause the throttle body unable to fully closed. thus, when u idling, more than expected air went in.

cleaning the TB is like a 10 mins job nia
