Thinking of getting the W212 E200 7G transmission. Anyone brother here can advise on the fuel consumption?

Was offered $248,888 (A version), less $22,500 ($10k COE and $12,500 overtrade)....

thanks for correcting. its 7.5km per litre

Wow, that's really heavy.

My E200 cabrio gets about 9.7L/100km, or 10.3km per L.

And I drive with the top down as often as I can, which means more air resistance.

After the 1st 6mth year servicing, the FC got better to avg >10km/L

W212 E250 with 7G-Tronic, if light-footed, about 8 litre / 100km. Better still, if mum drives, she can reach 6.5 litre / 100km (and she's not road-hogging)

That's amazing!

My e250 7g sedan with Idling due to fetching kids now fc 14 liter per 100km Liao. Faint.

yap.. recent pump after 390km--- 60litres of petrol.. work out to be around 6.5km per litre...

Wow!

You must be having very "spirited driving" with your ride!

My previous E250 W212 sedan gave me consistantly above 10L/km or >10km/L

My current 3L 2.1 tonne water buffalo give me at worse 14.2L/100km or 7km/L but usually 7.5km to 8km/L

had some new findings.. perhaps thats the reason why my fuel consumption is high.. When i depress the accelerator, i realise that it will easily hit 2000rpm and beyond 3000rpm.. U guys have the same problem for e250 sedan.. is it the same for both CAB and sedan.... Dont think im heavy footed... to get below 2000rpm when moving from stall will require really light footer...

Dun think most of our E sedan or Coupe or Cab drivers are extreme light footer. Avg the Sedans are doing ard 9-11km/L and the Cabs are doing 6.5-8.5km/L(6.5km been heavy footing). My Cab avg around (8.25km/L 65%City 35%HighWay), and quite generous with the gas when moving off.

Even Unker kepiting's ML is doing 7km/L or more...

Your might wanna monitor a bit more...else get her checked.

I get what you mean, it's probably because of the turbo kicking in. The turbo for E250 CGI is pretty strong, so normally I'll lift off before it even hits 2000-2500 rpm. At most the engine will rev to 3000 rpm but that's enough to overtake some cars already. Anyway peak torque for E250 comes very early, so no point revving beyond 3000 rpm because you won't be getting much more torque from there.

Hahaha! But I think I must be honest now, I live in Choa Chu Kang, and going pretty much anywhere is far from home. I beat the morning rush hour traffic so I don't need to do stop-start, bumper-to-bumper driving, and my family drives to the airport frequently for fun (equivalent to going JB? haha!).
