My 2008 E200K W211 FL model, Engine Indicator lighted up. Can someone please advise what causes this? Is the problem serious?:Cry:

Welcome!! Did u read the manual?

The manual mention the malfunction may be due to one of the 3 following:

1) Engine system fault

2) Exhaust system fault

3) Ingnition system fault

Send car for further inspection

I hope this is not a major fault as C&C can only check my car next Wed?

Hope this is not a major fault as I have just bought this car 3 months ago and the car was just service by C&C last month.

Since it's a 2008 W211, an intermittent check engine message can mean a leaking intake manifold. This is a known common problem for M271 engine in the W203 and W211, after some mileage.

No big deal problem for short term, only irritating. Send the car for checks.

g6 t6 any garage t6 get checked.. they will use a diaognistic machine to determine the fault.. can be a minor issue.. btw engine indicator light is also called a check engine light
