There is a chance she might not die in a Mercedes-Benz, but sure injured chia lat chia lat. Not wearing seat belt is always looking for trouble.

The reason for an auto locking for all doors is to prevent door opening in the event of a side impact, so she won't get flung out.

The window curtain bag will deploy and it should cushion her head and reduce the impact.

I really fail to understand why people don't belt up when they are in the car, especially seated in front. Don't they feel unsafe? Don't they know if there is a collision, they will spill their brains onto the dashboard?

Well, when i read these stories about young people involved in car accidents, can't help but wonder if it is to reckless driving. That's why I don't mind the 'uncle' label that comes with Merc. Compared to ah-beng, ah-pek in Merc = safe & responsible driver. Unfortunately, most girls I'm after don't see it that way.
