W124 Shifter Bulb

Does anyone know if i can change the current color of the bulb from yellow to either blue or white? If it can be done, what bulb should i be getting? I know that if the wattage is too high it can melt the plastic.

Welcome!! Any pics to share? Coz i hv no idea what is a shifter bulb.

if i m not wrong, is the bulb underneath the auto transmission gear panel for the letters " P, R, N, D" etc. means the gear lever there one.

If i can remember its the same as the aircon vents bulb type. damn small, dun think can find any white/blue or even led type..

to even remove the bulb, it really takes a lot of work... maybe when you do want to change the shifter knob than you can change the bulb...

Thanks. I'll go take out the original bulb and find an LED substitute

I've changed mine before. Not that hard work, only thing to take note is you may break certain plastic parts if not careful. This car is strange: it uses lots of clips and you should only pull out items from certain direction.

Merc a lots of clips here and there, so dun need much screws lor....
