Haha. Ya. When their underwriter reply my enquiry, he told me AVIVA only accept the original stock car from C&C

Once the car hit the road, any changes n mod to the car is considered illegal n will void your insurance.

The scary part is here how u know about all these things when u sign up their insurance, unless that person is like me who call n ask in great details. Even their call center answering gals can't answer my question. Very misleading.

The only time u know is when u file a claim or report an accident, they instead tell u your car insurance is cancelled N u have to COVER your own BACKSIDE.

Haha.

Chartis is formerly AIG and they do give MB more face. For sure, U can change more things than other insurance

I wanted chrome tail pipe, K&N filter, one fin grill n sport rims. All have to sweep under bed n wait long long. Haha.

Enjoy your mod

If one has aftermarket mods and insurer dun pay for the reinstatement of these mods i.e. if cost of replacement of 20" BBS rims cost more than C&C std 17", i tink it's fair enuf.

But to simply void the whole insurance (esp when the claim is unrelated to the mod) on this basis when it comes to making a claim simply reeks of opportunism and bad faith. Why bother to insure when there's no assurance of coverage?

Look like our bro grey has a good cheap insurance policy. Your NCD is 50% right

Insurance criteria besides cheap, they must be reasonable and professional. Imaging you have a claim and they give you 101 reasons to REJECT you.... It is as good as driving without insurance.

We buy insurance for peace in mind and not worry for rightful claim.

fully agree with u but too bad Aviva only thinks from their own company interest. the underwriter advise me as long as i keep the original stocked car with no mod at all, i m safe.

after 2013, i will dump Aviva n go back to MSIG or Chartis.

When all of us dump them , they will have no choice but to wake up their idea!

difficult because there will always be drivers in similar situation as me.

other car insurance offer high sky quotes for renewal and only aviva offer more than 50% discount.

but in this world, there is no free lunch. so is up to us who r willing to sign up aviva to call thei runderwriter and ask many many questions.
