Thanks bros, appreciated. Can I know what's the approximate cost for the repair? Thanks!

bro,

I assume knocking sound from front. thus, RWD so no universal joint lah! I suspect it is your :-

a) check shock absorber. after wear and tear they tend to buckle a bit when turning.

B) check control arms, wish bone and top mounts these mechanical parts are rubber dampened. once rubber worn the metal start knocking.

c) anti roll bar (system) the front anti- roll bar is suspended on the chassis with rubber once rubber worn, the roll will be push to knock against chassis

d) last but not least your ball joints (top & lower), if its one of these change immediately!! OEM lower ball joint only S$20+ Orig Merc only $65

your 211 going 5 years should usually require a front lower carriage rebuild for that brand new drive feeling. this all can be done for about 2.5K incl labour. Eg Spirtze auto package it to 2,2K
