bro, actually... during wet conditions, it is better to have higher pressure in the tyres because it "convexes" the ground contact so as to cut through water better... on dry surfaces and for maximum grip, tyre pressure should be lower so that you get more of the rubber's surface in contact... having said that, i have had no problems in the dry or wet with this tyre pressure... :bounce: oh, i am on CSC3 and i remember seeing that the max pressure is something like 50 and up... will go take a look again and let you know, bro...

For a start, u can try 220kpa / 32 PSI for all 4 tires.

then monitor ur handling, cornering, pick up n fuel consumption and adjust from there.

For me, i follow Doc jtang recommendation of +20kpa for rear tires cos of fuel economy n RWD.

i used to be on 225/245 for 225/45/17 BS-050A.

Now on 220/240 for 225/45/17 BS-S001. (harder sidewall)

diff tayar diff spec, diff characteristics.

some harder sidewall, some softer.

some drivers like sharp response, my dad likes soft bounce when over humps.

Play around with d tire pressure to suit your taste.

  • 3 months later...

sorry to dig out this old thread but was searching for some anwsers...

After i changed my tires from 17' to 18', i received message saying "check tire pressure".

Is it because is a new set up and the system have not adjust to the new size?

Or what? Anyone encounter this when upgrading your tire?

U need to reset yr tyres pressure from instrument cluster. Select Service menu & look for Tyre pressure, click YES to reset pressure.
