Noise coming from suspension

my w204 C180k is approaching it's first birthday and has clocked about 15000km

Recently about a week back I've noticed a faint "kok-kok" sort of knocking sound coming from the left side, seems to be both front and back suspension/wheels when going over humps, when previously it was silent.

i did a exhaust tip mod about 2 weeks back, kinda regret the whole thing  but it's too late now and it looks nicer :P maybe that could be the cause.

any advice where i should get this checked out or what might be causing it ? Car is bought from C&C

Exhaust tips is simply bolt or weld onto the tail pipe they are not related to the tok tok sound. This issue is a known problems many of the bro here has it. Do a search!!

My W204 also changed the front suspension during 15k servicing ...

Just book a slot with them, drive with them to hear the sound, and they will know what went wrong ... worst is when u drive u ride down, the sound cannot be heard

Em...mayb I can say is tat MB replaced e stock spring spec to sporty type, yet didn't revise on e overall height stand by e damper n e chasis. Spring rates re equally important. Too soft wil send yr ride floatg n too hard wil send yr whole family bouncg along e journey!

I've tat experience when test driven n aso as passenger on one of our sgmerc bro new FL C180 CGI durg last GTG. Definitely firmer spring rates than Pre-FL C klass. :becky:

  • 5 months later...

Encountered this sound after cycle changed my suspension when I complained squeaks. Subsequently, They replaced some bushing at e top n bottom but tok tok sound still there.

What's strange about e sound is that it happens only when going over the speed bumps similar to the ones at our causeway customs.

It was foc

Everything covered under warranty. My ride only 6mths old.

Initial complain was sound from e front. Now, even my rear wheel have the knocking over hump.

Wondering if parts were indeed replaced as sound still there. I do notice that front suspension looks new when it came back initially. As for the rest of e parts, I can't see.
