Drive pass ERP without $$ being deducted

Yesterday morning, while driving pass the Nicoll ERP gantry, my IU didnt beep and the green light didnt light up. I thought that the IU was faulty, but when I removed the CC and inserted it again, the IU still works perfectly. I can also still enter to my season parking carpark which uses IU detection.

I drive pass this gantry everyday and it was fine till yesterday. This morning, the ERP didnt deduct my $$ again, but I am pretty sure my IU is working, as other gantry and the carpark system will still trigger the IU.

Will I get fine for this?

Best is u call LTA n ask

Within 14 days u will know whether u got a fine. Go to vicom for IU inspection if in doubts.

happened to me once. didn't get fined then.

Happened to me few times before along ECP gantry towards city. I think it's a malfunction, just like traffic lights, also can spoil. As long as your IU got no long beep sound, then you earn lor. No need to check with LTA lah...after they ask you to pay up for being honest. :becky:

Anyway, even if kena LTA fine, just write in and they will usually waive the admin charge of $10 and just ask you to pay for ERP charges. Reasons that I always use, faulty cashcard or faulty IU, has always worked for me. :becky:
