Dear Bros,

Need help/advice..

This afternoon suddenly realise passenger side windscreen has a 30cm long line crack. Called Glassmedic for advice and was told cant be help as it crack from the edge.

So i wanted to know should i go back to insurance and repair at their workshops or should i source for my own (of cos i need Bros advice here)

Anybody had replace windscreens before, pls advise?? What is the cost we are looking at?? Definitly worried repairer didnt do good job and i end up with leaks n whistles in car....

So "lucky" for it to happen on Deepavali...sigh....no more holiday mood....

take out yr insurance policy, check yr excess for Windscreen replacement. Damage shld be $100. Call yr agent for advice.

Call up your car insurance company to lodge a report tmr. I had a crack line on my previous car on the front windscreen, covered fully under insurance and does not affect your NCD when you do the claim, and even had a mobile windscreen replacement team to replace my screen at my office carpark with just extra $30.

Don't worry :)

Oh my ex front 318i windscreen claim was $1k original replacement ordered from PML by the insurance company.

It is cheaper to replace the windscreen than claim insurance.

Once i tried to get it fixed as there was a crack on it cost $28 for a proxy fill.

Called the insurance and say cannot claim. change windscreen can claim and first change no access.

Haiz. common sense tell me what to do.

These insurance coy, instead of $28 payout willing to fork out $1,400 for the change.

Don't know what to say
