Part 5: Drive feel

The 7g does seems 95 percent seamless when step.

Lag time is shorter as compared to 5g

Drop gear overtake is super responsive.

Drive is quiet. No more jerky feel.

It feels smooth till kinda boring not much engagement as compared to cabrio.

The Eco function when stop at traffic goes to zero rpm and ur steering is locked! U can't turn left or right , stationary till u put it brakes off at least.

At Park mode it goes to 600rpm. Quite stupid as park mode should be zero rpm ma if u waiting for someone. Wonder why they design Like that...

I somehow cant hear the "pish" sound when play with the accelerator anymore while driving. This pish sound from c180 cgi and e cab is something I miss.

The Eco mode is really like modern day SI CHIA feel as you thing engine die down and restart. Although the feel is split second but it's just not a good feel. Wonder will it have more wear and tear thou...

The car when cornering sticks the ground firmly and feels good.

Part 6 : ECO.

On top of the when at traffic light and bakes are depressed the rpm drops to zero but pls note the Aircon power is also cut to about 50 percent so you may feel less cold and if long jams u may feel hot.

So advise is off the ECO man.

Is there a camera next to the rain sensor?

Part 7:

I love the back lights. Nope not the rear lights but the license plate lights!

Its a bright white factory installed light instead of the usual yellow lights.

I like it best!

Part 8: DRL feelings

The straight DRL does sometimes feels like a e63 DRL light. which is kinda nice.

But still kinda miss the Hockey lights. Hockey lights match with amg curve front does really go well with an aggressive statement.

Straight DRL gives a clean look and sometimes feels like a E63 straight DRLs.

conclusion: Tough Fight.

Sat in my colleague's new e250 7g AMG.... car is big... COMAND looks cool... nice AMG kit and exos built into bumper.

Those that bought 250 earlier must be jealous! Good buy! How much did u get it for btw?

Trick of the day:

If waiting for someone, ensure Eco mode is on, brake till car stationary till ECO kicks in and rpm drops to zero then press park. ECO stays on at zero rpm while on park mode.

Part 9: Panoromic roof

Kids love the view of the panoramic roof.

They find it spacious and makes the car bigger inside.

however, I do find it hot on sunny days. Even with the cloth closed up, the heat still passes thru a bit. Not as protective as a 100 percent hard top.

on rainy days the view of the rain on the glass top gives a therapeutic effect for back passengers and allows cabin light to come in.

When the panoromic roof is opened, it's a smooth gliding process and I also notice that there is a kinda of a air cap system in front too to catch flies... That can't be retracted thou....

Actually the purpose of this eco start/stop function is for situation where u need to stop and wait alot like during traffic light stops or traffic jams. This is to help save fuel. What I am curious is for hybrids, there is an integrated motor tt supports the aircon, radio etc during engine cut-offs but what about merc? What is supporting those function during engine cut off?

For a hybrid, it is not wise to wait for people with the Eco stop because it will deplete the integrated motor battery very fast if wait very long..... not sure for merc though.... Any bro here know?

imho - the only source of electricity for the MB (not Hybrid) is from the car battery. With the frequent start/stop - "not too healthy for the battery".
