C200 kompressor Key

Hi bro and sis here, anyone can help me with this problem. My ignition key holder got a problem now, when I insert the key into the crank start holder, I'm unable to start engine. When to a workshop was quoted 5-6k to replace the key holder. Any recommendation and advices?

I would change the key battery first to be sure it's other cause.

Welcome!! What's happen to the other key?? Seek second opinion if I were you.

Much earlier I d a similar incident, went dwn C&C Pandan WS to get pb resolve. :hand:

They did a check on my engine program n update it which cost me S$200++ n change batteries fr my two keys! :becky:

It work well since so I see no reason why yr preferred WS diagnose tat e pb re fm yr ignition holder n cost over S$5-6K? :shocked::tsk:

hi Benjamin, Just check if your steering locks when you remove the key from the key holder. You should hear an unlocking sound when you insert the key and hear a locking sound when you remove the key. The other method is to check if your steering has free play when removing the key.
