Sound from the rear suspension over at driver

I have this strange problem. Sometime, I can hear sound from the rear suspension at driver side when I exit or enter the car. Sometime, the sound is not there.

When I bring it over to C&C, the sound was no longer there. The guy say that he will need to hear the sound otherwise he can't do anything.

Any brother encountering this problem before? Thanks :becky:

Hi,

I just got the ride recently. Less than 2 years. It is still under warranty.

I just tried without setting the parking brake and there was no sound. I think that should be the problem. Thanks bro!! I shall go and inspect it when the next servicing is due.

I also encounter this sound when entering and exiting the car with parking brake engaged. At first, thought that I am too heavy liao and got to go on diet. Lucky I found this thread, thanks bro.

By the way, did CNC manage to find any solution to this issue? Or they just advise not to engage parking brake?

If change the brakes to BBK, still got sound? Can any seniors advise?

Hmmm...sounds suspiciously like the sound of rear muffler/exhaust cooling down. Do you all hear that sound if the car if cold ? Try driving for 1-2 minutes from cold start, park apply brakes and step out, and hear if the tick, tick, tick sound is still there?

I am not referring to the ticking sound that come from exhaust, that is due to the exhaust cooling down.

The sound comes from the rear right wheel, when engaged parking brake, sounded like groaning when enter or exit from driver seat. No sound when the parking brake is not depressed.
