you should check properly, if AVIVA wants to insure you due to the previous bad experience

if your most recent insurer was AVIVA and now you want to register your new car with them again, they most probably will take your case... however, be prepared for an exorbitant amount in the premium due to your previous claim history...

May I ask do the SE earn comms from the car insurance deals that we take directly from their C&C ?

Bro...check with Martin/Cheryl(signatureincz Site Sponsor). Yes they do insurance too...maybe they can help.

You can op for external insurance coverage...not necessary from in-house. Cheers!:becky:

Btw, Congrats on your COE!!!

Chartis has some arrangements with C&C called New for Old Replacement...

in an unfortunate event if your car becomes a total loss or a constructive total loss as a result of an accident (excl theft) during the first 12 months...Chartis will replace with with a new car of the same make and model...:becky:

I took Chartis mainly for this reason  ... partly also to reward the SE coz they do get some commission from insurance company :bounce:

most car companies give u a new replacement if your car is totalled within 12 months.. plus as i understand if you take MSIG, the insurer has a lease gap cover which covers the difference between the amount outstanding to the bank and the actual value of the car. thats even more important if you have a 7 or 10 year finance and say your car is totalled in 3 years..

This is another question I want to ask:

I won't be doing the mod for the 1st year when I m under AVIVA

But I planning to replace the twin exhaust with one chrome tailpipe and replace the stock air filter with k&n air filter.

Do the above 2 things considered mod?

Just call AVIVA, they say the k&n air filter the cone shape one is illegal mod.

What is the shape for the C180K K&N air filter?

mate... aviva is very sticky cos they want stock car only... change your insurer now.. and get a refund of your premium and move on with another company

In view of MB prespective, they'll close one eye as these insert re clarified as beautified as long as it doesn't harm e engine or original whole ride setup!

Bt still, u gotta highlight to them durg each servg. :becky:

As fr AVIVA, no way fr them! Big mod medium mod small mod tiny mod still classified as mod! Dun play play w insurance man!

Like most bros quote "when in need durg unforeseen accident, u re helpless if they said no"

Ya. Make do with original factory fitted car.

AVIVA did tell me that if I do the exhaust chrome tailpipe at C&C workshop before my car goes onto the public road, it is not considered a mod.

For the K&N air filter, I check that for 180K the shape is conical one so is considered illegal mod by AVIVA. Have to give up on that.

I was thinking not to take up the MBC inhouse insurance too. I have checked Aviva insurance is only around $800 for me after 50% NCD for my new FL C180K. Dont know about Chartis? Any idea how much will Chartis quote with 50% NCD???

Aviva?? Hv u read up abt this insurance company on modding? As comparing of cost for insurance is subjective due to age bla bla. If u were ask me, in-house is always cheaper than getting from outside quote (apple to apple).
