Light switch, A vs 0

I have tried switching to both of these position on the light switch and getting out of the car to see which lights are turn on or off.

But seems like it's the same.

Anyone can shed some light on this?

And how do you turn on the rear fog light. I tried pulling the switch but it doesnt budge.

I m trying my best to run thru...

point 1. Check your instrument cluster SETTINGS and make sure day light running lights are off mode.

with the ABOVE point 1 check, when you are in 0 position, your headlamps lights are off.

with the Above point 1 check, when you are in A position, means auto headlamps activated. In 'A' position, if the natural lights is weak, your headlamps will switch on. Under sunny day, your headlamp will be off.

point 2. Check your instrument cluster settings, if your day running lights is switched on, A or 0 position, the physical light switch will be override and becomes 'A' regardless of light physical switch.

this is what I m having for my w212. Hope this helps.

Wow.. I never imagine Mercedes servicing can take so long.

2nd yr Servicing is listed as 1-2days.

I send in yesterday at 11am ..and the service advisor says maybe tomorrow then can take.. So it's 2 days!?.. gosh.. Maybe have to switch to StarBlack soon..

u svc your car once every 6 months or so.. i guess 2 days is reasonable as they are very busy at c&c... but going to an independent workshop like starblack is also a good choice

Nope. I only go when the indicator lights up. Now Assyt Plus tells me it's B1 servicing (which is 1-2days).

Ya, I would definitely go to StarBlack once my service credit is used up. So for now, I just have to be at the whims and fancy of the service center :)

But I think their scheduling can be better fine tuned. I mean if you think your service crew can take only 10-15cars a day, then schedule max 15cars and the slots for booking will be closed for the day. This way, it's more or less a strict 1 day or overnight scheduling. Will feedback to the service center when i collect the car.
