will it cause any damage? somemore my dad tried to use force to remove the key from the ignition when it cannot be removed as the gear is in neutral. he called me for help and i immediately went down to the carpark and realised the gear is in 'N' thats why the key cannot be taken out

the car is fine. its just that my dad turn on and off the engine a few times trying to figure out why the key is stuck without realizing the gear is in neutral.
