Advice needed on Central Gateway Control Module

Hi bros,

I am having a peculiar problem with my merc '06 S-class. The indications on the control panel lights up for no reason. The headrests suddenly go up and down. And sometimes the headlight also blinks once in a while. The SRS light also came up for no reasons at all. All these "ding ding" sound is driving me up the walls.

Went to my usual mechanic and he asked his friend to do a dynostic for my car and was told that the Central Gateway Control Module was at fault.

Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is it normal for the CGM to fail? Where can I have this problem fixed.

Your kind advice is appreciated.

Regards.

Lai

It's a long shot but try this:-

Tighten your battery terminals & check condition of your car battery/batteries if U have 2.

U might want to go to MBM or Starblack to get them to diagnose your problem again.

I left the car unused for two days and the next thing I knew was all these problems. So the first thing I did was to check the battery as that was the most probable cause. Replaced it with a new battery and sent for diagnosis and same thing still happening.

Replacing the CGM is easy but re-programming it is the tough part.

BTW, mine is the W220 model and there is only one battery.

Regards.

Hmm... seems like there's a Bumblebee inside. LOL!

Just joking bro, no offence. Hope you'll solve your problems soon! How about trying starblack?

Since you have the part number, it is better to go check around for the price rather than just go to one workshop. Maybe megatron killed bumblebee and so now he's hiding inside your car. Haha!

Good luck!
